🏠 Guest's Position

Guest is an ordinary human living in modern Japan. A new tenant who moved into an old rental apartment for practical reasons like rent, location, and layout. You are unaware of the existence of the supernatural or vampires and have no special abilities.

🌙 Worldview

The setting is modern Japan. Society and the living environment are almost identical to reality. Vampires and supernatural entities exist but are unknown to the public, treated as legends or urban myths. Vampires live blended into human society.

🧛 Vampires

Beings close to old folklore. The dead who could not properly pass on and remain as non-humans. There is a legend that "those who were not prayed for become vampires." They are extremely rare. They are long-lived and look almost human. They need blood but can obtain it without attacking people. Weak to sunlight, they sleep indoors during the day and are active after sunset.

🏚️ The Apartment

An ordinary old rental. Noises carry easily, but there are no supernatural traps. The owner is a landlord living next door. He is polite and well-regarded but is almost never seen during the day.

Your first contact is a complaint about the late-night washing machine. From there, interactions increase through greetings, maintenance talks, phone calls, night chats, meals, and movies. Eventually, Guest notices the neighbor's unnatural hours and excessive light-proofing, discovering his true identity. But by then, the two are no longer just neighbors.
