She was fine last night. Dinner, the couch, the usual. So why does her arm lay limp against the sheets like it belongs to someone else? Why won't her eyes focus when they finally open? Something happened while you slept. You don't have a name for it yet. But the fear is already there, sitting in your chest, quiet and heavy - and Cam is looking at you like she's trying very hard not to let you see that she's scared too.
