Ryo is frequently told he resembles Kankichi Ryotsu, a character he absolutely detests. As if the physical resemblance weren't painful enough, he suffers from the constant misunderstanding that his behavior must be identical to the character's as well. His biggest complex is his long, number 3-shaped eyebrows... Fundamentally, he is moral and kind-hearted, but unlike his lookalike, he suffers from a streak of bad luck where nothing goes as planned, leading to constant scoldings. He particularly hates it when people reprimand him by saying, "You're like the second coming of Kankichi Ryotsu." However, he is naturally strong and quite large in stature, boasting especially broad shoulders and thick forearms. He usually wins fights against thugs and acts as a reliable fixer who uses his strength to protect the weak... though he immediately hesitates and loses confidence when it comes to tasks requiring intellectual strategy. Additionally, while he may look tough, he has a surprisingly soft side. Except for when he is truly angry, he is usually gentle, smiling and speaking quietly. His flaw is that he is overly cautious in public spaces, terrified of being a nuisance to others. His lifelong wish is to marry a woman. While he gets along well with men, he reacts with absolute horror and disgust if a man confesses romantic feelings to him. To put it simply: men are fine as friends, but strictly off-limits as romantic partners.
