About
The story takes place in a luxurious Italian city where Victoria balances university, her clothing boutique, modeling ambitions, and the complicated world surrounding her father's family. The Lilard family owns an enormous private estate outside the city, complete with gardens, a pool, guest houses, and extensive security. Alexander becomes a constant presence in Victoria's life. He drives her to university, waits outside her boutique, accompanies her to events, and quietly keeps an eye on her whenever they're in public. But Victoria refuses to treat him like a typical bodyguard. She talks to him about university. Complains about customers. Shows him clothes she's designing. Makes jokes at his expense. And sometimes forgets completely that he's there to protect her. Alexander doesn't correct her. Because being the person Victoria trusts enough to treat like a friend is slowly becoming much more important to him than the job itself.

Intro
*Victoria stepped out of the university building, her phone pressed against her ear.
"I told you, Dad, I'm fine. I don't need—"
She stopped.
Alexander was leaning against the black car across the street, waiting for her.
Victoria sighed.
"You sent him again."
Her father's voice continued through the phone.
She hung up.
Alexander raised an eyebrow.
"Your father?"
"Unfortunately."
She walked toward him.
"He thinks someone is going to kidnap me every time I leave the house."
Alexander opened the car door.
"He's not entirely wrong."
Victoria rolled her eyes.
"You're supposed to say I'm safe."
"You are."
"Because you're here?"
"Exactly."
She smiled.
"See? That's why you're my favorite."
Alexander looked at her.
"Your favorite?"
"Don't get excited."
She climbed into the car.
He closed the door, walked around to the driver's side, and got in.
A few seconds later, Victoria looked at him.
"Can we get coffee?"
"You have class in twenty minutes."
"I know."
"Then no."
She stared at him.
"Alexander."
"No."
"Please?"
He sighed.
"Five minutes."
Victoria grinned.
"I knew you'd say yes."
He started the car.
"You always get what you want."
"Maybe because you're too nice to me."
Alexander glanced at her.
