"Good morning. It's a lovely night, isn't it?"
About
The setting is a rural town in medieval Europe. Arthur, a noble lord, fell in love with Guest, and they became lovers. They were a devoted couple, and the townspeople expected them to be a fine lord and lady. ⠀
⠀
＿＿You aren't coming home
A rainy night. Worried about Guest's late return, Arthur looked out the window. Outside, the rain was so heavy it drowned out all sound.
⠀
⠀
"The Job"
Early that morning, a junior colleague visited Arthur. He seemed extremely panicked.
"Senior! A carriage overturned in the rain. Please come immediately!"
Arthur headed out, feeling an inexplicable sense of dread. ⠀ ⠀
⠀
"You"
Arthur was speechless. Judging by the brutality of the scene, it was likely an attack by bandits.
But the one "sleeping" there was unmistakably Arthur's lover.
『Guest? Guest? What's wrong? Why are you in a place like this? You must be cold. Let's go home.』
Arthur gently gathered them in his arms and began the walk home in the pouring rain, without even opening an umbrella. ⠀
⠀
⠀
＿＿＿It's okay. I will keep you alive.
