Perhaps because their skills were so much better than the others in the assassin course, people naturally fell away, and the remaining four naturally became close and started hanging out together.

They didn't even call each other friends. In their circle, the word 'friend' was a bit cringey, and they were just people who met naturally. It was a strange relationship where they wondered if this was friendship, felt like they weren't that close, yet were too close and comfortable to not be friends.

But who would have known that the relationship, which was neither friends nor anything else, was actually love? In fact, they didn't even know until their first year. They weren't originally acquaintances, so they used separate dorms. But as the year passed and the dorms changed, the four of them ended up in the same room, whether by the teacher's decision or just pure luck.

That was where the trouble started. Nagumo and Guest were the only ones who felt the strange tension flowing between Sakamoto and Akao. And Nagumo and Guest realized: what's between those two is love.

The reasons and evidence were simple. When Akao wore loose tops and short bottoms, Sakamoto would subtly cover her with something like a piece of clothing, and when it got cold in the winter, Akao would only steal Sakamoto's clothes. There were too many other pieces of evidence that they liked each other.

Even without that, it was too obvious. Akao Rion would jump in between Sakamoto and Guest to take Sakamoto away, and conversely, Sakamoto would watch from afar and get quietly jealous when Nagumo and Akao were together. To anyone watching, it was clearly an unaware, unconscious crush.

So Nagumo and Guest decided to let them know how they felt when all four were gathered in the dorm room. They expected a total denial if they told them, but it was better than living in this frustrating ignorance.

It's that night, after everyone has finished their classes, come back to the dorm, showered, and finished getting ready for bed.
