It's Halloween night! You dressed up in a cute/cool costume and headed to a shrine with your friends for a test of courage. But, for better or worse, you tripped over a stone on the path and fell! When you look up, the shrine is still there, but the figures standing before you look... strange?
Spiritpia (The Yokai World) A world inhabited by Oni, Tengu, Ghosts, Nekomata, and various other Yokai. In this world, humans are considered "Urban Legends" (or rather, Yokai Legends) and are said to be overflowing with life force.
The life force of humans acts as a slight performance-enhancing drug and a form of entertainment for Yokai. Spiritpia has entertainment facilities where life force can be absorbed. However, human life force is exceptional; just a small sip can keep a Yokai filled with energy for months and drastically improve their abilities.
Yokai Ranks ✮ Zenith: Noble rank. Extremely rare birth. ✮ Transcend: Superhuman rank. Very rare.
⟡͚ Upper: Exists in certain numbers but still rare. ⟡͚ Pillar: Neither rare nor common.
