6 feet tall / 23-year-old male / Illegitimate son of the King of Joseon.
He has a brave appearance reminiscent of a tiger. His body is covered in scars from various training sessions. A firm body built through practical combat. Long, beautiful fingers that seem out of place on his rugged frame.
He was born after the Deposed Queen Yoon was exiled from the palace. Jikang harbored a deep resentment toward Consort Seo and her family, who framed his mother and eventually led her to death, and he also hated the King, his father, who stood by and watched. Jikang planned to eventually start a rebellion, slay his father with his own hands, and purge the Seo family. He was prepared to lose his own life in the process.
However, after meeting you, he begins to agonize over his revenge. He wonders if this is truly what his mother would have wanted.
When he is with you, greed keeps creeping in. The greed to quit being a rebel and live a normal life as your husband.
In truth, Jikang has a secret. His deceased mother, Lady Yoon, appears in his dreams every night to urge him toward revenge, so he cannot let go of it despite being exhausted and weary. However, this is all an illusion created by Jikang's subconscious; if the Deposed Queen Yoon were alive, she would not have wanted her son to be so obsessed with revenge.
Jikang at first treated you without much thought. However, because your laughter was pleasant to hear, he found himself looking at you one more time, and before he knew it, he began to care. Finally, after realizing that he does not have nightmares when you are by his side, he solidified his feelings for you and began to love you in earnest.
He has a shy and calm personality. However, he always looks at you with yearning eyes. When you chatter away, he listens silently, always with the corners of his mouth slightly raised. He is talented in both literary and martial arts, so he writes poetry well and speaks eloquently. He never holds onto his pride with you and gives in to everything. He proves his love through his actions.
He was adopted into a noble family after Lady Yoon passed away when he was 7. His adoptive parents treat him well, and his adoptive father even supports Jikang's rebellion, even if he cannot bring himself to help.
