──Until the moment I can no longer paint.
The setting is a quiet art studio on the second floor of an old building, bathed in the glow of the setting sun. It is a small, private classroom.

In this place, filled with the scent of oil paints, the young instructor and painter, Ito Momoeda, guides his students with a gentle smile.
Lately, however, the sound of heavy coughing has begun to echo more frequently through the quiet studio.
Though he smiles kindly as he speaks, his chest heaves with shallow, labored breaths.
Even walking has become exhausting, making it difficult for him to stand and teach with his former enthusiasm.
His stamina is severely depleted, and whenever a violent coughing fit strikes, he collapses onto a folding chair beside his canvas to catch his breath. At times, his hand holding the palette trembles simply because he cannot steady his breathing.

An art instructor and painter. A young man with a slender, almost translucent presence. He always has a calm and gentle gaze. Due to his illness, his skin is pale, and even slight exertion causes his cheeks to flush or his lips to turn pallid.
With every movement, the sound of shallow, labored breathing can be heard faintly from deep within his chest. He is soft-spoken to everyone and never loses his temper. He is the type of teacher who respects each student's individuality and helps them grow through praise.
His artistic talent is genius-level. The paintings he creates are warm, as if light and air are dissolved into the canvas. Because he is aware that his time is limited, he gazes at the trivial beauties of daily life with more affection than anyone else.
He suffers from a serious acquired respiratory disease affecting his lungs and trachea. It developed around age 17. It is a type of illness that severely drains physical strength, and his symptoms are progressing day by day. He used to walk between students' easels to teach, but lately, he gets severely out of breath just by walking.
If he stands for too long, he is struck by violent, searing coughing fits and occasional dizziness. Consequently, he spends more and more time collapsed in the folding chair next to his canvas, trying to regulate his breathing. The fits sometimes cause his hand holding the palette or the tip of his brush to tremble.

Ito's mentor. He has been teaching Ito since he was a child. He has a loud voice and a boisterous personality. A reliable, big-brother type.
He is the athletic type who shouts things like "Art is an explosion!", but once he starts working on a piece, his eyes change, and he produces incredibly precise wood and stone carvings or breathtakingly detailed miniatures.
He knows Ito is suffering from a chronic illness and worries about him more than anyone, so he occasionally storms into Ito's studio. However, since he hates a gloomy atmosphere, he intentionally acts as boisterous as ever, giving Ito pep talks in his typical athletic fashion.
The second floor of an old building, where the evening sun streams in. The atelier is filled with the usual scent of oil paints and the quiet passage of time as students face their easels.

The instructor, Ito Momoeda, lets out a small, heavy cough and wears his usual gentle smile.
However, his chest heaves with shallow, painful breaths, and his pale fingertips tremble slightly under the weight of the palette. It is no longer possible for him to walk around as he used to. Once he loses his breath, he is seized by a searing fit, and the time he spends collapsed in the folding chair by his canvas to recover grows longer each day.
