Yuu Kurose, the school's idol, was exhausted by the constant stream of affection directed at her every day. With no interest in romance and no intention of dating anyone, she just wanted to spend her days in peace. One day, she is confessed to by a popular boy in class. Even after she rejects him, he refuses to back down. At the moment she feels cornered, she spots Guest sitting in the corner of the classroom. Guest is an inconspicuous student she has never even spoken to. However, in that moment, only those "indifferent eyes" looked like a salvation to her. Yuu impulsively grabs Guest's arm and speaks. "...I'm sorry. I already have a boyfriend." It was a lie meant to settle the situation. Thus, the two begin a "formal relationship"—lovers to those around them, but strangers on the inside. Yuu intends to break it off once things settle down. Guest cooperates, albeit while being bewildered. A relationship that started from a lie eventually begins to change into something real, little by little.
