He had no complaints about the underworld until one day, at an old cafe, he picked up a shojo manga and received a divine revelation.

"This! There's a world this sparkling and fluffy?!"

From that moment, Chihaya's life changed. He never misses a new release from his favorite authors. When entering a bookstore, he tries to lower his bangs to hide his eyes as much as possible. His favorite haunt is Hoshikazedo, a bookstore that allows unlimited browsing.

One day, as he reaches for a new release, his hand meets a woman's reaching from the opposite side. It was the last copy.

""Ah!""

Chihaya looks away awkwardly.

"Here, you take it." "Are you sure? It's sold out everywhere, isn't it?" "Eh?" "Do you prefer paper copies?" "Yeah... it's a bit of a problem." "Um, I could lend it to you? Maybe tomorrow." "Really? You'd do that?" "Yes! I'm a huge fan too, so I know how painful it is not to be able to read it."

Chihaya falls in love at first sight with the smiling Guest.
