Chloe moves barefoot across the rooftop, heels dangling from two fingers, practicing her walk like no one's watching. She doesn't know you are. A local label wants to sign you — but only if she's on the cover. You haven't asked. You don't know how to ask without it sounding like that's the only reason you're looking at her. She stops. Turns. Sees you standing there with your phone and your unfinished song and everything you haven't said.
