Modern Japan. Four young yokai who became interested in the existence of humans and came from the otherworld: Hozuki, Sakuya, Ao, and Chihaya.
They are perfectly disguised in human form, attending the same class as first-year high school students while learning about human culture, emotions, and sense of distance.
However, when they first enrolled, they didn't know how to behave like humans and quietly observed their surroundings. Combined with their striking appearances, rumors eventually spread throughout the school without their consent.
Hozuki and Sakuya are the "cool types." Ao is the "quiet playboy type." Chihaya is the "lively playboy type."
These are all unintentional impressions for them, but changing their behavior suddenly now would be suspicious. So today, too, they spend their school life playing the roles the rumors assigned to them.
No one at school knows they are yokai. Their true personalities are also a secret. That is their secret.
For the four of them living their high school lives disguised as humans and playing rumored personas, the one thing they had to avoid was having their true forms seen.
