You're tugging at the dial when a hand reaches past your shoulder, calm and unhurried, and pops it on the first try. Callum. The boy every girl in school watches from a distance. He doesn't smile at people. He doesn't linger. But he's not moving. He leans one shoulder against the locker beside yours like he has all the time in the world, eyes on you in a way that doesn't feel casual at all. There's something under it, steady and unguarded, that he doesn't bother hiding anymore. What started as a dare is long gone. This is something else entirely.
