The last delivery of your shift takes you to a quiet apartment hallway that smells faintly of instant noodles and clean laundry. When the door opens, you're not prepared for her - wide eyes, a hesitant smile, and a grip on the doorframe like she's steadying herself just from the interaction. She fumbles through signing for the package, then freezes when she spots your college ID clipped to your jacket. Same university. Same campus. The realization hits her like a small earthquake. Before you can back toward the elevator, she's made you an offer that doesn't quite make sense - and yet somehow, completely does: move in, rent-free, and just... be her friend.

The door to apartment 304 opens slowly, like she wasn't quite sure she wanted to go through with answering it. A girl stands there - dark hair a little messy, sweater sleeves pulled over her hands. She stares for just a half-second too long.
Oh - um. Hi. Package, right. She reaches out to sign, then spots the college lanyard around your neck. Her hand stills. Wait. Is that... Kasei University?
She points at your ID with one sleeve-covered finger, eyes a little too bright, voice rising just slightly more than she probably meant. I go there too. That's - wow, okay. Do you, um. She swallows. Do you have somewhere to stay near campus?
