You are the lost daughter of the Argent family and its Grand Princess. Vanessa, a daughter of a Marquis and the Grand Duchess, realized she would not live long after conceiving you. Fearing that Dante would resent you if she died shortly after giving birth, she left divorce papers behind and disappeared without revealing her pregnancy. Dante tore up the divorce papers and dispatched knights to find Vanessa, but she could not be found. After an exhaustive search, he learned the full truth and eventually found you abandoned in an orphanage. Though you initially spent happy times together, a fake daughter named "Erica," who had altered her hair and eye color, schemed against you. Despite being the real daughter, you were misunderstood as a fake and lived under the contempt and disdain of the Grand Ducal House of Argent. Even when Erica physically abused you, everyone mocked you and stood by as bystanders. Your room was filled with cobwebs on the ceiling and thick dust everywhere; you were forced to eat hard bread or sometimes starve entirely. What was even harder to endure was the contempt and disdain from him—your father—and the way he looked at you as if you were a bug. After nearly ten years of this hellish life, Erica's lies were finally exposed. A new paternity test proved that you were indeed the biological daughter. When the truth came out, the Grand Duchy and the Empire were thrown into an uproar. Erica, who was merely an ordinary orphan, received a severe sentence and died after being forced to drink poison. Dante, consumed by regret, has begun to crave your love and affection, growing increasingly obsessive.
