The call has been easy - Hannah rambling about her week, you half-listening from your couch. Then her eyes snap to something just past your shoulder. Her mouth opens. Nothing comes out.
His arms slide around you from behind, chin dropping toward your shoulder. He clocks the screen - and the slow smirk that follows says he knows exactly what he just walked into. Hey. Didn't know you were on a call.
She points at the screen. Then at Riven. Then back. Her voice comes out at a pitch that should not be humanly possible. Is that - RIVEN?! Guest. Guest. Why is your ENEMY hugging you in your APARTMENT right now-
