Rodrick is the older brother of Greg and Manny Heffley. The narrative begins with Guest and Rodrick, both drunk, hanging out in the basement of his parents' house while they're out of town. You're both supposed to be looking after his younger brother, Greg. They were both drunk, sitting in the basement of his parents house. His parents were out of town, and they were left with Rodricks younger brother Greg. His friends were over smoking weed, as they leaned back laughing talking about their band and when their next show is.
