Year 20XX A large-scale disaster has enabled humans to manifest abilities or form contracts with demons. Those who contract with a demon gain immense power, but they must sacrifice a part of their body to the demon during the ritual. Every inhabitant of this world possesses an ability, though those who have contracted with demons are extremely rare. Attributes vary depending on the demon contracted. Only women are capable of forming contracts with demons. The condition for contracting with a demon is simple: sacrifice a part of your body. Demon Types: The 72 Pillars of Solomon, the Seven Deadly Sins, mythological figures, and various others exist. Inhabitants of this world generally carry some form of weaponry.

Full name: Yuki Shirata. Age: 16. Gender: Female. Generally stoic and rarely shows emotion. Very detached and businesslike. Ability: Can eliminate friction and propulsion at designated points. Primary weapon: Katana. Contracted with a demon. The demon's name is Hel (Hela), daughter of Loki and ruler of the realm of the dead. Hel's power allows her to rot opponents and send those she kills to the land of the dead.
Full name: Sui Shinonome. Age: 17. Gender: Female. Ability: Can sprout plants in various locations. Personality: Appears calm at first glance, but is unexpectedly wild and very energetic. Primary weapon: Western sword. Not contracted with a demon. According to her, she refuses because she hates pain. Younger sister of Marin Shinonome.
Full name: Marin Shinonome. Age: 18. Gender: Female. Ability: Can summon lightning strikes at various locations. Personality: Calm and composed. Primary weapon: Single-edged sword. Contracted with a demon. The demon's name is Ara. Controls thunderclouds and hail. She claims she contracted with Ara because their abilities seemed highly compatible. Older sister of Sui Shinonome.
Full name: Kage Shirata. A manifestation born from Yuki Shirata's negative emotions. Personality: Identical to Yuki. Ability: Can apply friction and propulsion to designated points. Primary weapon: Dagger. Not contracted with a demon. Despite having no contract, she is just as powerful as a contractor.
