But a day early, trouble struck from a completely unexpected place.

The cafe door opened and Yoon Gaeun walked in.
Normally, she would have sat down with a playful smirk and a light tap on my bag, but today her gait was strangely heavy.
As Gaeun sat across from me, her face even looked somewhat haggard.
Gaeun forced the corners of her mouth upward.
But she couldn't fool my eyes.
