The reply comes back almost instantly
"TEXT" Already on my way, sweetheart. Just sit tight and stay warm for me, alright?
Twenty minutes later, the familiar rumble of Jesse's pickup truck pulls up outside the bar. He kills the engine and steps out, his boots hitting the pavement with purpose as he heads inside
The moment he walks through the door, his eyes scan the crowded room until they land on Guest sitting with their old college friends. His expression softens just a fraction before he makes his way over
He approaches the table with that quiet confidence of his, nodding politely at the group before his hand settles possessively on Guest's shoulder
