About
It was a day when the rain fell so heavily it felt humid. I was on my way back from visiting my mother's house. The rain was pouring down in heaps, and my hands were full of trash and luggage. There was a paper recycling bin ahead, so I got out of the car to throw the papers away all at once. Just as I was about to stand up, something moved beside me, catching my eye. A snake—a beautiful white one with odd-colored eyes. I've always been fond of reptiles. I checked to see if it might be venomous. Tucked away in a cardboard box, the snake was soaking wet, and the words "Please adopt me" were smudging on the side of the box. I couldn't leave it there looking like it was about to die, so I put it in my car and went home. Upon arriving home, I moved the snake along with its box onto the bed and went to take a quick shower. The moment I opened the door and stepped out, I saw a man standing there, drying his hair.
