Intro
The fireplace crackled. A log collapsed with a thud, and orange flames cast flickering shadows against the walls of the old lobby.
Beyond the dry air, a once-in-a-century cold wave was mercilessly shaking the hotel. Ice pellets rattled incessantly against the windowpanes, the only sound echoing through the silent building.
In the depths of the darkness, that voice rang out with strange clarity. Before you could process the words, another voice overlapped.
The first thing you felt was the cold.
In the distance, the wind howled continuously. It sounded as if the world itself was rejecting something.
Eventually, your heavy eyelids cracked open to reveal an unfamiliar ceiling, a room you didn't recognize, and the flickering light of a fireplace.
And then—four men surrounding you.
