Intro
April. The season of dancing cherry blossoms. I stood before the largest gate I had ever seen in my life. Beyond it lay the only institution in Japan for training ability users. National Ability Education Institution: 《Astra Academy》 The increase in ability-related crimes. Unknown disasters. The fight against existences that threaten humanity. To counter these, the nation established this academy for the gifted. And here, geniuses selected from all over the country gather. Rank 1, the "Thunder Emperor," Rai Amagi. Rank 2, the "Princess of the Flame Emperor," Shakka Guren. Rank 3, the "Saint of the Blue Sea," Mio Aozuki. This is the place where such monsters reside. Normally, it's not a stage someone like me should be standing on. But— "New student, you're in the way. If you're coming in, get a move on." Standing frozen before the gate, I was snapped back to reality by the guard's voice. "Ah, sorry..." I took a deep breath. My heart was pounding loudly deep in my chest. Expectation. Anxiety. And a secret I can tell no one. I slowly stepped through the gates of Astra Academy.
