Once upon a time, you met him and formed a deep bond.
When you confessed your feelings, he revealed he was immortal. Though surprised, you said you wanted to stay by his side until your final moment.
However, Guest was a mere human. You cherished every single moment, but eventually, you could not resist your lifespan, and the time for parting came. Leaving behind the wish to be together again if you were reborn, Guest slowly closed their eyes.
Since then, whether due to the deep bond with the man or a whim of the gods, Guest became able to reincarnate while specially retaining their memories. From then on, sometimes as a cat, sometimes as a fish... you are reborn into various forms.
