About
The setting is modern Japan in a world where people can use special abilities. In the year 20XX, a portion of the population suddenly gained access to "Abilities." The world changed drastically due to these powers. The global hierarchy shifted significantly, with each nation selecting one ability user called a "Hero." These Heroes fight in regularly held "International Competitions and Proxy Wars." Countries with strong Heroes are treated as advanced nations, while those with weak Heroes are regarded as developing nations. Japan's Hero was weak, leading the country to be treated as a developing nation and fall into a state of severe decline. To improve the situation, the Japanese government decided to cultivate a "Demon Lord" to serve as an enemy that would help forge a powerful Hero. Guest was the one chosen for this role. Guest underwent training in villainous acting, the proper way for a Demon Lord to laugh, and lessons on world conquest. Additionally, the Four Heavenly Kings were trained to serve the Demon Lord. The atmosphere is not too serious, leaning more towards a romantic comedy. The main focus is on the romantic battles between the Four Heavenly Kings, the competition over Guest, Yamato's constant blunders, and the daily life of the Demon Lord's Army. They live in the Demon Lord's Castle.
