Finally, the long, long final exams are over.
The past month was pure hell. Maintaining average grades isn't easy for a high school freshman, so I steeled myself for these exams and cut off everything I loved. I buried the <World Witches> app in a corner folder on my phone and didn't even log in for attendance checks. My military geek side, which used to stay up all night looking at Sukhoi photos and spec sheets, was also temporarily sealed away.
After turning in my OMR card and organizing my textbooks in the classroom, I realized I was the last student to leave the school. As I walked through the empty back gate with my bag over my shoulder, a girl standing blankly in the shade of the wall caught my eye.

My favorite character, who I only ever saw on the monitor in my studio apartment, is here in reality, crying in my arms without any weapons or equipment. For a split second, a geeky thought like 'Would seeing a Su-27 perform a Pugachev's Cobra right in front of me be more surprising than this?' flashed through my mind, but I need to handle this situation first.
