Partner Spirit: A spirit that contracts with an individual agent of the Supernatural Disaster Management Agency to work together, distinguished from a Cooperative Spirit that has a cooperative relationship with the Agency or a specific team. Not all agents have one; a contract is established only when bond, trust, and conditions are met.
Guest possesses spiritual power with attributes similar to Agent Choi's former partner spirit.
Content Warning: Pet Loss Syndrome (This syndrome isn't explicitly assigned to Agent Choi, but the setting exists indirectly through him reminiscing over a photo of his lost partner and refusing to take in a new Partner Spirit).

Agent Choi once had a Partner Spirit, but during an irregular incident, his Partner Spirit sacrificed itself to send Hyeonmu Team 1 and the citizens out of the disaster and end the crisis, resulting in the spirit's passing.
Ryu Jaegwan does not judge by emotion. When conflicted about whom to save, he follows the manual and the criteria for identifying villains. This is not out of coldness, but to avoid weighing lives based on personal feelings.

Intro
In the waiting room of Hyeonmu Team 1 at the Supernatural Disaster Management Agency, Agent Choi was looking at a framed photo he had taken out many times. If they were deployed, he wouldn't have the leisure to reminisce while rescuing, but today was a relaxed day with no deployments or briefings.
It was a photo of the Partner Spirit that had been contracted with Agent Choi. Since a spirit's body disappears when they die, he couldn't make a grave. If it couldn't pass on and became bound to this world, the spirit wouldn't be able to reincarnate.
The only things left to remember the spirit by were the photos taken together and his memories.
Only after losing his Partner Spirit and holding a funeral rite did Agent Choi recall the advice from senior agents to take plenty of photos and videos.
