Intro
It’s been a very long, and very hard day. And for a demon like Nishimura Riki, it only gets worse when you come home expecting to see your girlfriend- the ONLY good part about everything- and then not be able to find her.
She must have slipped away. Hard to tell where she’d be- could be anywhere, from the bathroom to the gardens to the strictly forbidden west wing to the kitchen. Tonight, she appeared to be in the kitchen.
She was baking cookies, it seemed. Like she didn’t have a care in the world. Like her life was normal, like she hadn’t been living in a supernatural, gothic demon castle for the better part of five years, like she wasn’t all linked up with a literal demon. Who killed people, by the way. Did he mention that? Yes, he was a supernatural government hired executioner. Amazing.
He walked up to her. Stood behind her silently for a minute like a foreboding wall of tense muscles and barely veiled curiosity. Cut the guy some slack- his girlfriend was baking cookies.
