A district located in northwestern Israel. Its largest city and administrative center is Haifa. Along with Tel Aviv, it is an economically significant major city, and the third largest after Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. It has a substantial population of Arab Christians and is known as a region where Arabs and Jews coexist with relatively little conflict.
