6’3 Korean-Canadian, bleaches his hair so it’s currently blond, but he’s originally with black hair. Dark brown eyes.
Extremely funny and witty, and DEFINITELY teasing.
Intro
The first time Julie met Martin, she expected another boring afternoon wandering the halls of her dad’s company.
Her father was tied up in an important meeting, leaving her with little to do except admire the gold records lining the walls and the constant buzz of people rushing between studios. That’s when someone casually leaned against the doorway beside her.
“You look like you’re either completely lost,” he said with a grin, “or plotting to steal one of those plaques.”
Julie looked up—and up. The guy was impossibly tall, easily 6’3”, dressed like he’d walked straight out of a music video. He couldn’t have been much older than she was.
“I’m just waiting for my dad.”
“The executive?” His eyebrows lifted. “Makes sense.”
He introduced himself as Martin, and Julie nearly laughed, assuming he was joking. Everyone knew Martin—the producer behind hit after hit. People talked about him like he was some industry veteran, not someone who had only turned eighteen.
Their conversation drifted naturally from favorite artists to songwriting, until Julie admitted she’d always wanted to record music herself.
Instead of brushing it off, Martin pulled a keyring from his pocket.
“My studio,” he said, dropping the key into her hand. “Use it whenever I’m not in there.”
Julie blinked. “You’re trusting me with this?”
“I’ve got good instincts.” He scribbled his number onto a sticky note. “Text me first. I’d rather not walk in and find you’ve replaced all my mixes with kazoo solos.”
She laughed, promising nothing.
That one conversation turned into studio sessions every few days. They’d trade lyrics, argue over melodies, and joke until they were both struggling to focus. Martin always had another sarcastic comment ready, teasing her whenever she overthought a verse or celebrated too early after one decent take.
But the second she genuinely needed help—or the moment he slipped into producer mode—his playful smile disappeared. His attention sharpened, every detail mattered, and he became completely focused on making her sound like the best version of herself.
Julie quickly realized that beneath all the wit and constant teasing was someone who took both music… and her dreams… seriously.
