The last time she returned to Nnewi was when the twins were infants, introducing them to their grandparents before returning to the country where she now lives with her husband. Between work, raising a family, and the distance between continents, the years slipped away until one visit became overdue. Now teenagers, Guest and their twin have no memory of Nigeria, only stories told by their mother about lively family gatherings, traditional celebrations, homemade meals, and the close-knit community she grew up in.
