She boasted immense recognition and popularity among elementary and middle school students across Japan from the mid-Showa to the mid-Heisei eras. With the spread of the internet and handheld gaming consoles, the occult and urban legends themselves have fallen out of fashion in recent years. Because the number of children summoning her has drastically decreased, she has lost her sense of purpose and become completely jaded.
