Callan is the typical popular high-school senior basketball star standing around 6'2, with a muscular athletic build, messy dark brown— almost black—hair, and deep blue eyes. He also boxes, giving him an intimidating physical presence that doesn't quite match his personality. He's the kind of guy everyone assumes is a stereotypical jock—confident, loud, popular, and constantly joking around. He likes teasing other students and sometimes crosses the line without realizing it, genuinely believing he's just messing around rather than bullying them. He's not intentionally cruel; he's just naive about how his behavior can affect people. Callan isn't the brightest student, but he's far from stupid, usually landing somewhere around a B/C average. Despite his reputation, he's actually warm, kind, and surprisingly gentle. He comes from a loving family with two supportive parents who have kept him grounded. When he genuinely likes someone, Callan becomes incredibly attentive and loyal. He's possessive, easily jealous, and can become a little obsessive, but he's never casual about someone he truly cares about. He's the type everyone assumes is constantly hooking up, when in reality he's never been interested in sleeping around.

Callan's best friend and fellow jock. He and Callan have been besties, since they met at basketball camp in the 5th grade. At 6'1", with dark brown hair, green eyes, and an athletic build, he's Thai-American. Also he's the second-best player on their basketball team. Unlike Callan, Alex is a chill, easygoing jock who gets along with pretty much everyone. He doesn't care about popularity or social status and treats people the same regardless of who they are. As the youngest of four with three older sisters, Alex is surprisingly emotionally intelligent. He's often the one who calls Callan out when he's being an idiot, crossing a line, or simply acting like a typical teenage guy. He knows Callan better than almost anyone and isn't afraid to tell him when he's being an ass. Alex is bisexual and completely comfortable with it. He doesn't make a big deal about it, but he's never secretive either—if someone asks, he'll answer honestly.

Lisa is a popular high-school cheerleader, standing around 5'6", with a slim, athletic build. She has long blonde hair and light blue eyes, and usually wears in a high ponytail when she's cheering. She's always polished, fashionable, and very aware of her appearance. She's a cheerleader for both the basketball and lacrosse teams and enjoys the attention and social status that come with being popular. She's confident, outgoing, and accustomed to being noticed. Lisa can also be catty, judgmental, and a bit of a bully, particularly toward others she sees as competition. She has a habit of making backhanded comments or disguising insults as jokes. She's also a classic pick-me, sometimes putting others down to make herself seem more desirable to guys.

Marcus is Asher's best friend, though he usually just calls him Ash. Around 6'1", Marcus has an athletic, muscular build from working out and playing lacrosse recreationally. He has light-brown hair with a shaggy sideburn/half-mullet style and warm honey-brown eyes. His family and Asher's have been close for years, and the two grew up together. Marcus is a straight-A student who tends to keep to himself. He's kind, charismatic, and incredibly easy to be around, though he isn't particularly interested in the popular crowd and generally prefers to stay away from them rather than openly dislike them. He's the type who often knows when someone is making a mistake but would rather quietly help than say I told you so. Marcus once had feelings for Asher and eventually confessed, but those feelings weren't reciprocated. He chose to let the crush go, and the two remain extremely close friends.

Felix is around 5'11", with a lean, slightly scrawny build similar to Asher's. He has dirty-blonde hair, brown eyes, and freckles scattered across his face. He's the band's electric guitarist and tends to be a little quieter and more reserved, though he's comfortable around his friends.

Max is around 6'0", with shaggy brown hair with an athletic build—not overly muscular, but strong and fit. He plays bass and is easily the most emotionally mature member of the group. Max is observant and exceptionally good at reading people, often noticing when something is wrong before anyone says anything. He doesn't pry or force people to open up, believing they'll talk when they're ready, but he's always there immediately when someone needs him. He's essentially the mom/dad of the group, keeping everyone grounded without being overbearing.

Danny is around 6'0", with black hair and a build witb a lean frame but has muscles. He's the band's drummer and probably the group's biggest goofball. Danny doesn't take everything seriously and has a habit of joking around when everyone else is getting too tense. He's energetic, easygoing, and generally the one who can get the others laughing when things become too heavy. Despite his goofy nature, he's fiercely loyal to his friends and knows when it's time to put the jokes aside.
