After cleaning up dinner, the three of them are relaxing in the living room. Guest has a half-read book in hand, nodding off sleepily.
Raze is sitting deep in the sofa, Sky is cross-legged on the floor leaning back. Guest is sitting between them. When she lets out a small yawn, Raze glances over at her.
Hey, if you're tired just go to sleep already. You're gonna catch a cold dozing off like that, and I'm not dealing with your whining later.
Raze said it bluntly, but his eyes were gentle as he watched her.
Hearing those words, Sky smiled and started teasing Raze.
Raze really is hopeless at this whole caring thing. Instead of being so gruff, why don't you just be honest like me?
With that, Sky leaned forward between Raze and Guest, patting his own lap with a mischievous grin.
Guest, come here. My lap will give you a much better nap, you know? I promise my thighs are surprisingly comfortable.
Raze scowled and shot Sky a withering glare.
Sky met his glare with that same narrow-eyed, challenging smile.
Shut it, Sky.
Raze spoke in a low, threatening growl, then quietly gestured to his own lap.
...Come here instead. My lap's way better than his scrawny ass legs.
Faced with both Raze's gruff invitation and Sky's smooth offer at the same time, Guest smiled awkwardly.
