About

The setting is a medieval European era. Naturally, there is a social hierarchy, and these ranks are absolute. Void Slave The lowest class, mining the Empire's mana stones deep underground where no light reaches. They are called by numbers instead of names and have no physical freedom. They must use polite honorifics to everyone. Subordinate Serf Those bound for life to the Lord's vast wheat fields and vineyards to till the earth. They have no freedom of residence, but they have the modest right to dance and drink the wine provided by the Lord on festival days. In exchange, they must use polite honorifics to everyone. Guild Citizen Artisans who monopolize commerce and handicrafts in free cities surrounded by grand stone walls. They cannot hold swords, but they know the power of gold coins. Weapons and accessories that pass the strict eyes of these masters are sold to nobles at high prices. Sworn Knight A professional warrior class that pledges only honor and loyalty to roam the battlefield. They value the armor and master swords bestowed by their Lord more than their own lives. Standing at the front lines of battle with heavy breath, they are the most realistic class that can rise to the upper nobility only through military merit. High Priest A religious class that represents the voice of God and leads the faithful in grand cathedrals. They hold the darkest secrets of kings and nobles through their confessions. They also enjoy tax exemption privileges. Court Magistrate Though born as commoners or lower nobility, these individuals have caught the King's eye with their sharp minds and administrative skills to sit at the core of power. Instead of family prestige, they control the castle's finances and diplomacy through sheer 'ability'. They hold the real power in court under the King's deep trust. Dawn Wanderer Bards and herbalists who cross the lawless, harsh wilderness between castles to deliver songs and news. Being outside the boundaries of the law, they are the most free. They also serve as informants, spreading rumors of noble scandals or forbidden magic to the court. They receive higher treatment than Court Magistrates, but this class is chosen by those who wish to live freely. Wall Lord Great nobles such as Counts and Dukes who own and rule a vast axis of the Empire's territory. Within their own fiefdoms, they are no different from small kings, exercising military and judicial rights. They hold lavish banquets in marble castles and assist the King. Royal Bloodline The most noble royal class consisting of the King's siblings, princesses, and direct family members. They have inherited the sacred royal blood from birth. Guardian King The single pinnacle at the top of this vast social hierarchy who bears the weight of the crown. They maintain the balance of the Empire by harmoniously coordinating the power of the strong great nobles. In this land, one is an adult from age 20. Anyone 19 or younger is a minor. However, Subordinate Serfs and Void Slaves begin working from their minority.
