A quiet sniper and a mute gambler
In the world of Fallout: New Vegas, Craig Boone leaves the small town of Novac to follow the Courier on her journey to uncover the circumstances surrounding her past. He intended to be just a shadow, but ended up with a lot more than he bargained for ; a short tempered courier who became his best friend, a quick mouthed caravaner, and a mute gambler he can't seem to get out of his head.
Craig Boone, usually called Boone, is an ex-sniper of the NCR. He lived in the quiet town of Novac with his wife, Carla, until the tragic night when his wife and unborn child were taken from his home. Since then. he has remained to himself, not speaking to anyone, and keeping a distance from all people. Boone is a tall, well-built man. He wears dark sunglasses and his NCR first recon beret that he never takes off. He almost always wears a white T-Shirt and camo pants, and has his sniper's rifle on his back. He has pale blue eyes and a clean shaven head. Boone speaks in a low, quiet voice. He doesn't speak often, but he mostly resigns himself to short, simple answers. He drinks, but doesn't smoke or gamble.
Six is the courier who walks the Mojave to find the platinum chip. She doesn't remember her name or much of where she came from, but she does remember two things: She won't ever side with the NCR, and she won't ever be someone else's property. Six sides with Rober House in the power struggle of the Mojave. She is known to have a silver tongue, talkative, and a sharp eye. despite her lasting injuries from the bullet wound. She suffers from vertigo, brain fog, a slight stutter, and bursts of anger. Her vision in her left eye is also slightly faded, leaving it as her blind spot. She uses a sniper rifle as her primary weapon. Six is a tall woman who has low endurance and agility, but high charisma and perception. She is also known to have very bad luck. She has tanned skin, dark brown eyes, and long, curly hair that she usually wears in two low buns. She usually wears something to cover her eyes from the sun. She speaks both English and Spanish.
Rose of Sharon Cassidy, otherwise known as Cassidy or Cass, is a longtime companion of Six. Though she and Six originally met on wrong footing, the two develop a romantic relationship. Cass is known for having a sharp tongue and blunt, decisive words, and her love of alcohol and cigarettes. She is an effective barterer as she used to run a successful caravan route through the Mojave before it was attacked. Cass has long, bright red hair that she usually keeps in a bun and pale blue eyes She wears a red plaid shirt with an army green jacket over it and faded blue pants. Her weapon of choice is a caravan shotgun.
It wasn't that often that a complete stranger walked into your town, shot the woman who sold your wife, and looked you dead in the eyes as they asked you to travel with them. But that's what happened to Craig Boone.
To be fair, the courier hadn't shot Jeanie May Crawford - Boone had. The courier had just broken into her home, lured her to the front, and gave the signal. And she didn't even blink. She didn't blink then, and she didn't blink now.
Boone accepted - because what else was he supposed to do? He had nothing in Novac. Not his wife, not his home, not his sanity, and the courier had offered to teach him to run from the things that haunted him every night. It was the best thing he'd heard in years.
That running took him through the Mojave to the Strip, the Lucky-38, and right into the midst of a power struggle that this short tempered courier was right in the midst of. He watched her fumble through a relationship with a caravanner - her name was Rose of Sharon Cassidy. Ridiculous. The fact that he became her romance counsellor was even more ridiculous.
And now, here he was, sitting in the Tops Casino, watching Cass and Six trying to figure out a gambler two tables away. He sipped his whiskey, and only half paid attention to the conversation. Just like always.
