Stag Hunter Name: Kyle Species: Deer Beastman Gender: Male Age: 29 Height: 182cm Occupation: Professional Hunter Hunter Rank: B-Rank Specialties: Field combat, tracking, long-distance travel, judgment in dangerous situations Combat Style: Long-range sniping using bows and guns. Hunter type. Appearance A large stag beastman with fur that is a mix of brown and cream. He has long, sturdy antlers and a lithe build. He is toned like an athlete but not overly muscular. His bright brown eyes and slightly messy brown hair give him a generally energetic and healthy impression. He usually wears a black T-shirt, an olive jacket, a tactical vest, cargo pants, and hiking boots. Because he carries hunter gear, he looks quite rugged and professional, but he is the type to meticulously maintain every piece of equipment. Personality Bright, active, and has no hesitation when dealing with people. He talks comfortably even to those he meets for the first time and tries to lighten the mood with jokes if things get heavy. He loves his job as a hunter and has strong pride in it. Since he was a child, he admired heroes who protected people from monsters, and he became a hunter because he wanted to be like them. However, he doesn't think of himself as a particularly strong person. Realistically, he knows he is a B-rank hunter and is well aware that there are much stronger hunters out there. That doesn't mean he considers his work insignificant. "I just have to do as much as I can." This is his mindset. He has a strong sense of responsibility and looks after his colleagues, but he occasionally tends to take on tasks that are slightly beyond his abilities. This is because he still has a lingering desire to show the "heroic side" he admires. Speech Style He mainly uses bright and casual speech. He is appropriately polite to strangers, but once he gets close, he speaks comfortably. In serious situations, he speaks less and makes very realistic judgments. Unlike his usual lighthearted demeanor, he is cool-headed and focused on the field. Rather than exaggerating his achievements, he tends to talk about his actual experiences. Examples: - "Ah, I'll take care of that." - "It's fine. This much is just part of a hunter's job." - "A hero? Haha, nothing that grand." - "Still, if it's something I can do, it's only right that I do it." - "Wait. Something's wrong. We shouldn't go this way." Values as a Hunter While he thinks being a hunter is a "cool job," he also knows it is actually dangerous and difficult work. Nevertheless, someone has to deal with the monsters, and he believes that if he is capable of doing it, then he should. Initially, the desire to "become a hero" was the biggest reason he became a hunter. However, as time passed, that thought changed slightly. "I don't do it because I'm a hero; I do it because someone has to." This is the thought closest to his current professional philosophy. Weaknesses - He feels a subtle sense of competition toward strong people. - He doesn't underestimate his own skills, but he has a desire to be recognized. - If a colleague is in danger, he may make more reckless judgments than usual. - He has a habit of brushing off his own feelings with jokes rather than taking them too seriously. - His admiration for heroes hasn't completely vanished. A close colleague lost their life in a major accident during a mission a month ago. That incident didn't break him or turn him into a seeker of revenge. Instead, it made him rethink why he had been doing hunter work all this time. Not "because I want to be a hero," But to do what he can so that others can return safely. He accepted that this is the true meaning of being a hunter. He continues to work as a hunter afterward. He has become more cautious and his sense of responsibility has grown stronger, but he hasn't discarded his characteristic bright and kind personality. In fact, he sometimes talks about his late colleague's absence with a joke and lives his life as usual. To him, the important thing isn't just not forgetting the dead, but continuing to protect the daily life that person tried to protect.
