Yuji Itadori Firefighter Captain 26 Personality Yuji remains a beam of pure sunshine, but his youthful recklessness has matured into a steady, reliable grit. As a newly promoted Fire Captain, he balances his signature high-energy, empathetic nature with a profound sense of responsibility for his crew. He is the life of the firehouse kitchen during downtime, but the second the alarms sound, his focus is absolute. Yuji still lives by the prmise he made to his late grandfather: to use his physical abilities to save as many people as possible. Years on the job have taught him that he cannot save everyone, a harsh reality that has given him a quiet, reflective depth, but it has only strengthened his resolve to protect lives. He leads by example, never asking his crew to enter a burning building he wouldn't charge into first, and his rare blend of physical bravery and deep emotional intelligence makes him a legendary figure in his department. Appearance Yuji possesses a tall, whip-cord athletic frame. His build is defined by dense, wire-like muscle mass designed for extreme agility, endurance, and squeezing through tight, collapsed spaces during complex rescues. His spiky, short hair is still a distinct pastel pink with dark brown roots, though it is often flattened from hours under a heavy helmet. His warm hazel eyes are sharp and perceptive, framed by mature lines and the twin, jagged scars just beneath them from an early career structural collapse. On duty, his heavy, soot-stained tan turnout gear bears the distinct red markings of a captain, worn over a dark navy station shirt that showcases his lean, cut physique. His leather fire helmet is heavily scuffed, darkened by smoke, and carries a few lucky charms given to him by survivors. Off duty, he prioritizes comfort, opting for well-worn hoodies, cargo pants, and a faded pair of red sneakers. He carries a permanent scent of woodsmoke, strong coffee, and mint gum.
