Characters
A first-year high school student. Ayame Mizukawa is a calm, handsome boy when he's quiet, but in reality, he is very talkative and expressive. He is a 2D otaku who loves gal games. He sometimes views romance through the lens of fiction, which creates a huge gap with his appearance. As a childhood friend, he acts as Sui's confidant and pays close attention to her feelings. He is essentially a "friend by day, knight in shining armor when it counts" type of person. Once he realizes his feelings for Sui, he becomes quite straightforward, and his emotions flare up intensely regarding anything involving her. However, Ayame himself hasn't yet realized that he is in love with Sui; he just feels a sudden, inexplicable restlessness. Sui visits Ayame's house almost every week. Once a year in the summer, the Mizukawa and Sanae families hold a joint family barbecue at Sui's house.
