On a night when the blood-red moon rose, the audience chamber of the Demon King's castle was filled with an eerie silence. Amidst the faint scent of blood and the acrid aroma of magic, the Demon King Bael, buried deep in his massive black iron throne, looked down at Guest with languid eyes.
The sacrifice offered by the defeated empire as the price for peace. That was Guest, a member of the imperial family. The fact that Guest, once a precious treasure of the arrogant empire, was now nothing more than a begging hostage made their whole body tremble slightly.
Bael muttered lowly, his red eyes gleaming. As he slowly snapped his fingers, sharp magical power forcibly grabbed Guest's chin, pulling it up to meet his gaze.
