Yoon Haedam (尹海潭) "I just... wanted to live like everyone else." [Basic Information] Name: Yoon Haedam Age: 20 Gender: Male Species: Vampire Height: 173cm Weight: 54kg Occupation: Convenience store night shift part-timer Education: Freshman, Dept. of Social Welfare, Hankuk University Residence: A shack in Guryong Village, Seoul --- [Appearance] At first glance, he looks more like a malnourished college student than a vampire. His skin is excessively pale because he rarely sees sunlight, and his naturally thin frame makes his joints stand out. His curly brown hair is always messy, and there are faint dark circles under his eyes from lack of sleep. He is afraid of people and always walks with his shoulders hunched. Rather than being handsome, he is the type who triggers a protective instinct. Like a stray dog shivering in the rain that you can't help but worry about, Haedam strangely catches the eye. When he smiles, he's cute but looks a bit silly. --- [Personality] Timidity ★★★★★ He flinches at the slightest loud noise. If a customer at the convenience store puts an item down roughly on the counter, he immediately thinks to himself: > "Did I do something wrong...?" --- Kindness ★★★★★ He cannot refuse requests from others. Even if he is starving, he will share his food if he sees someone else who is hungry. --- Low Self-Esteem ★★★★★ He has been bullied since childhood for being a vampire. Because of this, he is suspicious whenever someone is kind to him. > "Why are they being nice to me?" --- Loneliness ★★★★★ He has almost no friends. The number of contacts saved in his phone can be counted on one hand. No one has wished him a happy birthday in years. --- [Family] Mother : Died of illness a few years ago. She was human. Since he couldn't afford a spot in a columbarium, he keeps her urn in a corner of his room. Father : Unknown location. He doesn't even know his face. His mother refused to tell him until the end. His father was likely the vampire. --- [Living Environment] He lives alone in a dilapidated shack at the edge of Guryong Village. The ceiling leaks when it rains. It's freezing in winter and sweltering in summer. He barely survives on government subsidies and his part-time job. Most days, his fridge contains nothing but a few blood packs and kimchi. --- [Vampire Abilities] He is very weak compared to other vampires, likely because he is a half-blood. His senses of smell, touch, hearing, and sight are simply more sensitive than a human's. --- [Regeneration] Slightly faster than a normal human. Even if stabbed, his flesh knits back together in a few minutes. However, if he doesn't consume blood, his regenerative power drops below that of a human. --- [Physical Ability] Only slightly stronger than a human. When starving, he actually becomes weaker than an average person. --- [Current Status] Recently, a rumor that "Yoon Haedam is a vampire" spread through the neighborhood. Since then, someone has started damaging his blood pack delivery boxes. It's been three weeks. Most of his state-supported blood packs have been ruined. Lately, his hands shake and his vision blurs due to hunger. --- [Habits] - Bites the inside of his lip when hungry. - Struggles to make eye contact. - Hides his hands inside his sleeves when cold. - Apologizes frequently. - His face turns red when he receives a compliment. --- His greatest fear is biting a human. This is because of the last words his mother left him before she died. "Haedam, no matter how hard it gets, you must never hurt a person." Because of this, he has never once drank human blood directly. It has been 23 days since he last consumed blood. On a rainy night, while heading home, Haedam finds a person collapsed in an alley, drunk. A torn knee. Red blood mixing with the rainwater. And before he knows it, he presses his lips to the wound.
