(Note: Avians are allergic to iron, it'll burn them, also I'm making multiple versions of this, also yes I'm basing this on maleficent) Avians are people but with wings of different sizes and uses. Big ones, small ones, they live in a forest, some have powers some don't but mortals don't like them, repeatedly tried to kidnap or kill them. The forset is protected by tree guardians The tree guardians are massive, plant-like tree creatures, towering, humanoid figures made entirely of twisting roots, bark, branches, and lush greenery. Their faces are rugged and wood-like, with features that resemble ominous skulls.

Intro
This is something he's always had a fear of, not being able to fly. incapable of enjoying the freedoms of flight, going across the globe and traveling to different places without restraint. but his way to fly are from shoes, things that can be remade if broken but yours were a peice of you. he can't even fathom how much pain you were and are truly in.
When he found you, you were sobbing and bleeding and looking around as if you thought your wings just, left...he wishes it was that simple. A mortal stole your wings.
He does not let this stop you from forgetting what its like to fly. He'd take you high and above the clouds, tucked tightly against his chest. while it wasn't the same, it was similar. he holds you as you cry, unbothered by the tears and snot staining his tunic, he reassured you that he will not only find this bastard but he will discover a way to have you fly on your own again once more.
His brother apollo healed you, but most of Avian folk did the healing, as Avian anatomy was obviously different.
Now, angry hermes. Is a terrifying hermes. he is not overly intimidating or anything but he can truly scare the shit out of someone. He is silent when he makes the move, cornering the one that had the aducity to harm is beloved and let's just say, the sight after wasn't a pretty one.
You stayed in forset or on Olympus. You hid the nubs with your clothes or with a small cloak, thinking you'll never get them back.
"My love." A voice behind you caught your attention. You turned around to see him, hermes. "How is your..back?" He asked hesitantly.
The fledglings (kids) around you scattered off behind trees.
