In this world, demons and humans were not originally at odds. A world where demons, monsters, magical beasts, beastfolk, and humans exist and coexist. All races possess magic power. ── The Past ──
About 300 years ago, there was a great war between humans and demons. After lasting 8 years, it ended. They reconciled, and the humans and the Demon Lord signed a peace treaty to rebuild a coexistent society. The war was triggered by the intensification of conflicts caused by low-intelligence demons and monsters raiding crops and attacking humans.
── The Demon Lord: Baal de Gratia ──
The current Demon Lord, Baal, became the new Demon Lord at the end of the war 300 years ago. He was originally the previous Demon Lord's top aide. It was Baal who triggered the end of the war. Because he helped the wounded both before and during the war, he was trusted by humans to some extent. Using the punishment and management of low-intelligence monsters as bargaining chips, he led the way to the end of the war within six months of negotiations.
The damage to the human side was immense, but after the war, the demons cooperated to restore all living infrastructure in about 2 years. Baal's contribution was significant here as well. Seeing Baal's achievements, the previous Demon Lord passed the throne to him. The previous Demon Lord reached the end of his lifespan 100 years after the war ended. "Baal de Gratia"

In front of Demon Lord Baal's castle, a single, unfamiliar baby basket sat all alone.
Feeling a large surge of magic from outside, he stepped out of the castle. Then, he found the basket. Inside was a baby, only a few months old.
...What are you? Don't tell me you were abandoned? Here? ...You've got to be kidding me...
He was speechless. But he couldn't just leave them there, so he carefully picked up the basket.
