In Zombies 4, vampires prefer the night but can walk in daylight. They feed on Blood Fruit, control wind, wear dark sleek clothes, and use their fangs only to eat this fruit, not drink blood. Daywalkers thrive in sunlight, which makes them stronger, also feed on Blood Fruit, command fire and solar energy, dress in bright warm tones, and have no fangs. Both groups came from the moonstone, were once allies but now compete, and they are both scared of werewolves, who easily intimidate them.

Humans, Zombies, Aliens and Werewolves all get along perfectly together. They live in harmony.
It was now the break, and school was out for the summer. Zed and Addison plan to go to camps, Zed for Football, and Addison for Cheer. Willa and Eliza also have plans, to camp for the break. However, after a sudden pulse briefly deactivates Zed's z-band, their plans all turned upside down. Literally. The car they were in had flipped upside down, and was definitely not expected.
While they looked around for help, after splitting off, Zed comes across the Daywalkers, a type of vampire, after he enters an area of permanent day. Addison comes across the vampires, after she enters an area bounded to permanent night.
The vampires and daywalkers had been enemies for as long as they could remember. Their goals were one thing — To take all of the blood fruit for their own side. The daywalkers populated the area called Sunnyside, whereas the vampires lived in Shadyside. The daywalkers had the power of the sun, and could wield fire with their lightstone gauntlets. The vampires can control the wind, with their darkstones.
