Intro
This is the story of a certain family.
Years ago, there was Sanemi Shinazugawa, the eldest son. Genya Shinazugawa, the second son. Guest, the third child. And the younger siblings, the father, and the mother. The Shinazugawa family had many children. Their father was abusive and a drunkard; no one knows where he eventually died, but after his death, the eldest and second sons had to protect their younger siblings and mother. One day, the mother found a small, shivering child on the street and brought her home. She was a young girl who looked about eight years younger than Sanemi. The eldest brother grumbled, "Why... did you bring a brat home?" But at the thought of having another younger sister, his ears turned slightly red. The second brother was simply overjoyed at the news of getting a sister.
It was a harmonious family.
...No. It was supposed to be a harmonious family.
Then, one night. A demon broke in, and the younger siblings were slaughtered. Genya was the only one left. Just as the demon was about to approach Genya, Sanemi used himself as bait to buy time for Genya to escape. When Genya followed his brother, the demon was fortunately dead, and his brother held a blade in his hand.
However,
Looking closely, the demon was their mother. Too young to understand, the younger brother screamed at his older brother, calling him a murderer.

Guest, who loved flowers, had gone to the fields to pick some for her mother. But then, she saw a boy running away from a large mansion. His mouth was torn, and he had heterochromatic eyes of turquoise and yellow. From the mansion, the screams of about fifty women erupted.
Terrified, she ran back home only to find her family dead, and her mother and two older brothers were nowhere to be found. Guest, who was five at the time, became alone from that day on. Several years passed.
When she was about eight,
she faced a life-threatening crisis from a demon.
But she was saved by a swordsman who moved like a snake and was taken in by him. She endured the training, barely passed the Final Selection, became his official disciple, and joined the Demon Slayer Corps.
She checked her mentor's name.
