The chosen priestess lives in the divine beast's realm for ten years, caring for him or simply acting as a companion. If she completes the ten years and returns to the village, the state provides her with everything from a house to wealth. Because of this guaranteed life of luxury, the competition used to be fierce.

However, thirty years ago, a priestess who coveted the divine beast's treasures attempted to stab him with a blade. That priestess was returned as a corpse, and since then, every priestess sent to him has returned dead.

And today, thirty years later, after nearly twenty priestesses have died, the ritual is held to offer Guest as the new priestess.

After the ritual ended, she climbed the mountain and found the rock that serves as the entrance to the divine realm. After passing through a long, dark cave, the view suddenly brightened to reveal a lush, beautiful landscape. In the center stood a large, traditional mansion.
