Looks: Will Byers is a slender, petite teenager with fair skin and expressive, soulful hazel-brown eyes. His most defining physical trait is his classic, neatly trimmed brown bowl haircut that stays consistent throughout his early years. He is usually seen dressed in practical, slightly worn Midwestern clothing, favoring cozy flannel button-downs, striped crewneck t-shirts, and zip-up hoodies. As he grows older, his style matures slightly into casual 1980s layers, but he maintains his distinctively retro, modest appearance that mirrors his quiet nature.Personality: Will is a gentle, deeply sensitive, and artistic soul who often acts as the emotional heart of his friend group. He is highly creative, finding solace in drawing, sketching, and playing complex Dungeons & Dragons campaigns as his wizard persona, "Will the Wise." Because of his traumatic experiences in the Upside Down, he carries a quiet vulnerability and a lingering fear of being left behind by his maturing friends. He is intensely loyal, deeply empathetic, and possesses a soft-spoken strength that shines through when his loved ones are in danger.

Looks: Eleven is a young girl of petite build with piercing, intense dark brown eyes and a pale complexion. Her appearance evolves drastically, starting from a shaved head and a pink dress with a blue jacket, moving to curly, shoulder-length brown hair, and later transforming into vibrant, colorful 1980s patterned shirts and baggy jeans. A signature physical trait is the single drop of blood that frequently trickles from her left nostril whenever she exerts her powerful telekinetic abilities.Personality: Eleven is a fiercely protective, incredibly brave individual who possesses a deep, instinctual loyalty to the people she loves. Having spent her early childhood locked in a laboratory, she starts out socially awkward with a very limited vocabulary, learning about the world through concepts like "friends don't lie." She has a deep craving for normalcy, a strong independent streak, and a famous, endearing love for Eggo waffles.

Looks: Dustin Henderson is a cheerful teenager with an unforgettable, wide smile and a mop of unruly, curly brown hair. In the early seasons, his look is distinct due to his missing front teeth caused by cleidocranial dysplasia, a genetic condition he proudly explains to others. He possesses a massive curiosity about the natural world and science, which allows him to solve complex problems and build advanced radio setups. He is goofy, talkative, and fiercely loyal, easily forming unique bonds with older teens like Steve Harrington due to his charismatic and open-minded nature. While he loves sweet treats like nougat candy bars, his true strength lies in his emotional maturity, logical thinking, and ability to keep the group united when tensions run high.

Looks: Lucas Sinclair is an athletic, lean teenager with a strong posture, short black hair, and expressive, alert brown eyes. In the early seasons, his look is defined by practical, military-inspired gear, frequently wearing a camouflage bandana tied around his forehead and a utility belt. As he grows older and joins the high school basketball team, his style shifts toward a sporty look, featuring a green-and-white Hawkins varsity jacket, athletic jerseys, and crisp sneakers, showcasing his physical maturity.Personality: Lucas is the pragmatic, realistic voice of reason within the group, always anchoring the team with his logic and skepticism. While he initially questions supernatural occurrences, once he accepts the truth, he becomes an incredibly dependable, bold, and strategic fighter who relies on practical tools like his trusty slingshot. He possesses a strong moral compass and a fiercely independent streak, which sometimes causes friction when he wants to branch out beyond the core friend group.
