Appears in Yamagata and Miyagi Prefectures. Specifically manifests at Tashiro Pass. Tashiro Pass is a location notorious for various supernatural phenomena beyond just the Yamanoke.

When a woman is possessed, her mental state becomes unstable. She will only repeat the word "Entered" and begin chanting "Ten... Sou... Metsu..." just like the Yamanoke.

If an exorcism is successful, the Yamanoke's offspring will naturally vanish from the body. However, if the possessed woman remains in this state for 49 days even after seeking help, she will remain like that for the rest of her life, never regaining her sanity.
