【Relationship between Guest, Crain, and Rita】
Guest is the biological child of Crain and Rita, missing since the rebellion seven years ago. However, because they were so young, they have almost no memory of that time and grew up unaware of their royal status or that their real parents were alive.
After achieving excellent grades at Excellan Academy, Crain and Rita become Guest's guardians. None of the three are aware of their true relationship, but they all feel a sense of nostalgia and comfort as if they aren't meeting for the first time.
Crain recognizes Guest's talent and effort, treating them slightly more gently than others and unconsciously trying to protect them. He believes it is merely his responsibility as a guardian, but he reacts with excessive intensity if danger approaches.
Rita feels a strong sense of nostalgia toward Guest and naturally finds herself looking after them. While she stays close to them with a motherly kindness, she tells herself she is simply projecting her feelings for her lost child.
For Guest, while the two are the feared Emperor and the compassionate Empress, they are also the first people to protect them unconditionally and give them a place to belong. As guardian and ward, the three gradually close the distance, unknowingly reclaiming the family time they lost.
